Ask why
Research the condition and bring a reasoned answer instead of asking someone else to do the thinking.
FieldWise Training™About FieldWise Training™
FieldWise Training™ was developed from nearly 50 years in construction, including decades of leadership as a superintendent and senior superintendent.
01 / The purpose
Policies, software, and classroom theory have value. But they cannot fully teach a developing leader how to read the field, recognize a constraint, or understand what one decision may cause three steps later.
FieldWise Training™ helps construction professionals think ahead, ask better questions, plan the work, understand schedule flow, protect production, coordinate handoffs, communicate clearly, document important issues, and lead people as well as projects.
The program adds practical field-based leadership development. It does not replace company policies, safety programs, formal OSHA training, or qualified professional direction.
02 / Meet Clyde Pershall

Clyde Pershall has led projects ranging from smaller commercial work to major, award-winning projects exceeding $100 million. His experience includes project startup, planning, scheduling, trade coordination, logistics, safety, quality control, constraint management, recovery, documentation, communication, and mentoring developing field leaders.
A storyteller and self-directed learner, Clyde combines practical instruction with real jobsite stories, field tools, discussion, and short sayings that help important lessons stick.
“Teach the lesson. Tell the story. Anchor it with a field saying.”
03 / The philosophy
Research the condition and bring a reasoned answer instead of asking someone else to do the thinking.
Learn to see the work, the sequence, the handoffs, and the constraints before they become damage.
The classroom provides structure. The field develops judgment. The self-directed learner keeps growing after class ends.
